While there are no details being released at this time, Jerusalem police appear to have stepped down from the high alert declared late Tuesday afternoon, 2 Adar 5773.
Information released to the media signaled police received an intelligence tip that a suicide bomber left Issawiya in the eastern capital and he was planning to carry out an attack in the capital. Roadblocks were set up and other measures were taken as a manhunt was launched.
At this time it is unknown if a suspect is in custody or the alert was determined to be unfounded.
FIRST REPORT 10:40AM EST: Security forces and Magen David Adom have moved to high alert in Yerushalayim in response to intelligence community information that a suicide bomber has left Issawiya and is planning to perpetrate an attack in the capital.
Roadblocks have been set up as the manhunt in underway.
