The Ministry of Defense on Monday 1 Adar 5773 approved 90 new apartments in Beit El as part of the Ulpana deal, by which the residents of that Beit El neighborhood moved out of their homes after a deal was reached between Rabbi Zalman Baruch Melamed Shlita and authorities. The state promised to build a total of 300 new homes as part of that deal.
According to a Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) report, the Coordinator of Activities in Yehuda and Shomron announced approval of the 90 new units.
