The Tatzpit Agency reports that on Tuesday night the eve of 26 Shevat 5773 at about 20:50, a vehicle ran the Rantis Checkpoint in Shomron. The checkpoint leads from yishuvim in the Western sector Binyamin Regional Council and the Beit Aryeh Local Council to the center of the country.

A vehicle with [yellow] Israeli license plates came from the direction of Beit Aryeh and when instructed to slow down for inspection, he tried to run over a border policeman. The vehicle managed to turn around for another attempt at running over the soldier.

Soldiers fired in the air while shouting at the driver to stop but he continued driving and managed to get away.
