According to a Walla TV News report moments ago, the IAF attack was carried out in Syria, not Lebanon, which is preferable to Israel.

The report explains that Israel at this stage prefers to send “a stern message to Bashar al-Assad” and prefers that the attack was carried out in Syria towards achieving this goal.

In addition, an attack on Lebanese soil might spark a confrontation with Hizbullah, which is unwanted at this time.
