It seems that over 2000 PSEG Long Island customers in Far Rockaway, New York were affected by a blackout At approximately half past midnight early Tuesday.

The blackout was caused by either an animal or a person coming in contact with an electric component in the grid on Mott Avenue and Beach 25th Street, according to PSEG.

“Service should be restored by 2:45 AM,” explained one PSEG representative.
