Tov Party leader Chanoch Werdiger announced his is pleased with the results of the election for Yahadut Hatorah, which appears to have earned seven seats in the 19th Knesset. Speaking to Kol Chai Radio on Wednesday, 12 Shevat 5773, Werdiger explained that every chareidi vote is critical at this time, for the chareidim will need strong representation in Knesset. He praised the tzibur for getting out and voting, heeding the call of the hour.

“The chareidi tzibur must now defend the Torah world; the yeshivos. We hope the secular parties will come to their senses and will not remain of the opinion to draft yeshiva students into the IDF. That said, in addition for the battle for survival of the Torah world we must take a deep look inside towards resolving the hardships faced by a large number of the chareidi tzibur.”
