Magen David Adom advanced EMT Tzvika Chen, 52, had just stepped off the podium after distributing certificates of completion to the graduates of the MDA first aid course.

Mrs. Chana Egranti, who is not known to Chen, approached him to say hello, explaining “you don’t remember me but 16 years ago, you saved my daughter’s life and today, she is counted among the graduates.”

Chen was called to her home to transport her to the hospital for delivery but circumstances did not permit transport, compelling him to deliver at home. When Stav was born she was in cardiac arrest and the young EMT performed CPR, Baruch Hashem successfully.

Chana recalls how terrifying the scene was, but how calm and professional Tzvika was.
