Hundreds of Hebron/Kiryat Arba residents and supporters took part in the march on Tuesday 4 Shevat 5773 demanding the government permit the residents of Beit HaMachpelah and Beit HaShalom to enter those buildings.
The residents and community leaders claim to have shown legal documentation attesting to the legitimate purchase of the buildings, yet they have been ousted from the structures to appease the Arabs who contest the deal, basically ousted due to political considerations.
In a related matter, veteran settlement leader Daniela Weiss was convicted on Wednesday 5 Shevat 5773 by the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court of interfering with police relating to her refusal to be removed from one of the controversial buildings in Hebron back in 2008. Police told the court she refused with orders to leave, deciding to sit down and compelling them to remove her by force.
