After Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita suffered a very light stroke this past Shabbos morning, Rosh Chodesh Shevat 5773, some rabbonim told the media that the accusations against Shas made in the media by Rav Amnon Yitzchak may have been responsible in part for the rav’s illness.
According to a Kikar Shabbat report, R’ Amnon remains on the offensive, insisting he is not and has never been against Rav Ovadia, but the persons who surround the Gadol Hador have filled his head with untruths that have resulted in harsh consequences for him, R’ Amnon.
R’ Amnon is quoted as saying “three chareidi newspapers did not write about the alleged stroke because they believe it may have been fabricated”.
“They (referring to the rav’s sons and assistants) are capable of driving him on Shabbos too just to succeed in the elections”.
R’ Amnon continued, seeking to give credibility to his harsh remarks that Shas leaders would be mechalel Shabbos.
He explains “we were in Nahariya on Shabbos and we know the deputy mayor there is from Shas. There was a bus parked in a red and white area (illegal) because drivers know that on Shabbos, parking enforcement agents do not work. A traffic enforcement agent arrived on his scooter from his home and wrote a summons for the bus that had a bumper sticker Koach L’Hashpiah (R’ Amnon’s party) on it. The other vehicles, also parked in the red and white area, were not ticketed. This is what a religious party does? This is how they return the glory to their people?”
Rav Amnon has been fighting a very steep uphill battle in his campaign, under fire by Shas in particular. Shas has accused him of betraying R’ Ovadia for taking votes from the party, and prominent rabbonim have signed a letter against R’ Amnon and his Koach L’Hashpiah Party.
R’ Amnon’s troubles are no less impressive in the Ashkenazi community, as he has announced he met with HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita, explained that he ordered a poll which shows he can get a number of seats if he runs for Knesset. He announced that R’ Shteinman instructed him to run if this was the case, stating “it is a mitzvah”. Since that announcement chareidi newspapers have discredited R’ Amnon, insisting R’ Shteinman never gave his approval for his actions.
In a meeting that was videoed, R’ Amnon visited with HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita in an effort to obtain a psak Halacha against Rav Ovadia’s response to his actions. Rav Amnon was referring to R’ Ovadia’s statement of הקדיח תבשילו in regard to Rav Amnon.
And lastly, the Satmar community has announced that after deciding to run for the Zionist Knesset, it will stop funding of all of Rav Amnon’s work.

Harav Amnon Yitzchock claims that Harav Shteinman told him – through a messenger – that if there is an appearant electoral/political potency, there is a Mitzvah to use it to obtain votes. Harav Yitzchock never said that Harav Shteinman instructed him directly to construct a party

By saying that shas staged the whole thing, he is saying that Rav Ovadyah Yosef Shlit’a was mechalel Shabbos as he doesn’t know the halachos of pikuach nefesh on Shabbos. So basically what R amnon is saying that Rav Ovadya was mechalel Shabbos. Because at the end of the day he got in to the car. He wasn’t feeling well, and I’ sure Rav Ovadyah knows the difference between a cold, headache, and a serious disease.

Forget the thinly veiled accusations of mechalel Shabbos, is R’Yitzchak seriously implying that this was all a ruse for votes and that Maran was complicit in it? Disgusting.
However follows and knows Rav Yitzhak knows his a true g-d fearing jew who devoted most of his life to bringing fellow Yidden closer to HKBH. I support him and know that he is doing avodat kodesh be emes!
Rav Amnon Yitzchak is a G-D fearing jew who has solely stood up against the friar and modern Jews in backing up and explaining the ways and behaviour of the chareidim. he is mekarev jews on a scale no one today can compete.For sure his intentions are leshem shomayim.

The article offers no proof that Rav Yosef and his sons faked his alleged “stroke” to gain sympathy for Shas prior to the elections. Nor does the article say that Rav Yosef was mechallel shabbos by driving to the hospital as part of this alleged faked medical emergency. Most members of the Sephardic tzibur have high respect for the rav and wouldn’t believe any slander against him. Your rant against the editors of YWN is bizarre but I’m glad they published your posting. The article does not “Mevazeh” anyoneone, including yosef.
#8-9: Mr. Yitzchak gets much credit for what he has accomplished, but dont; get carried away.
He spent much of his adult life as a salesman of TVs. After spending a very few years in yeshiva, he put his sales techniques to good use bringing Yiddshkiet to many people.
He is not a Rav. He is not a Godol. He is great entertainer whose antics work to inspire people to teshuvah, and he gets credit and praise for that.
For the past several weeks, he has lied and distorted teh words of some Gedolei Yisrael, and has been mevazeh others.
As Chacham Ovadiah has written — “hikdiach tavshilo.”
It’s time for Mr. Yitzchak to to teshuvah to get back in his place.
