After the pilot’s instrument panel signaled an engine problem, a Level 2 alert was declared at Ben-Gurion International Airport close to 1pm on Sunday, 2 Shevat 5773.

Magen David Adom and Ichud Hatzalah units in the area of the airport responded to stand by in line with emergency protocol. Baruch Hashem shortly after 1pm the announcement was heard over the emergency radios that the Arkia flight from Eilat landed without incident and without injuries to passengers or flight crew.
