What was dubbed as an “emergency Asifa” was held in the main Vishnitz Beis Medrash in Bnei Brak on Wednesday night, the eve of 28 Teves 5773. The goal of the gathering was to stir the hearts of chassidim to bring them to an awareness regarding the importance of voting in the upcoming general elections on 11 Shevat 5773.

Attending the event were the Rebbe Shlita and members of the Vishnitz Badatz. Bnei Brak Deputy Mayor Rav Menachem Mendel Eisenberg delivered the opening remarks. HaGaon HaRav Mordechai Stern Shlita of Badatz Zichron Meir spoke of the importance of every eligible voter getting out on Election Day and voting Gimmel. A number of other prominent personalities addressed the tzibur, including Deputy Education Minister R’ Menachem Eliezer Moses.

The message was a clear and simple one, the need for every eligible voter getting out and voting for Yahadut Hatorah as a strong chareidi representation in Knesset is critical to protect the interests of the Torah tzibur in Eretz Yisrael.
