The major election asifa set to take place in the Jerusalem Convention Center this week with the participation of Gedolei Hador Shlita is being postponed due to the inclement weather.
The daily HaMevaser reports that the asifa was set for Wednesday, 27 Teves 5773 but due to the snow alert for the capital, organizers decided to push it off. To date, HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita and the Gerrer Rebbe Shlita confirmed they planned to attend but it now remains uncertain, at least until organizers announce the new date for the election asifa.
Yahadut Hatorah MK and askanim are concerned as they realize the polls are not overly optimistic and the general election is rapidly closing in. They are trying to get the message out to the chareidi tzibur, that all eligible voters must exercise their right to vote and to cast a ballot for Gimmel.
