A child died and three other people were injured in an early-morning fire in Lakewood, New Jersey, Friday.
The fire broke out at the home on Sterling Avenue just after 2 a.m.
Firefighters reportedly removed two children from inside the home.
One, a 6-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at Kimball Medical Center. The other is listed in serious condition at Monmouth Medical Center.
The parents reportedly suffered from smoke inhalation and were taken to the hospital, while four firefighters were also treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but officials believed the blaze may have started behind the stove in the kitchen.
