A fire broke out on Yosef Karo Street in the Beis Yisrael area of Yerushalayim early Thursday morning 21 Teves 5773. The report of the fire came in at about 02:00.
An unspecified number of gas canisters blew up and it took firefighters a bit to time to bring the blaze under control after the tenants were evacuated. Two people were transported to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries. Damage to a number of homes is reportedly extensive. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.
