Bell peppers that were exported to Lebanon bearing a label saying “Israel” have created a storm. So much so, security officials in Lebanon are investigating just how Israeli bell peppers were permitted into the country.
According to a report in Lebanon’s Daily Star newspaper, a store in southern Lebanon detected that mixed into the produce he received were the Zionist peppers, creating the stir. The patriotic shop owner immediately contacted security officials, and the bell peppers are not the subject of an investigation.
It appears the preliminary investigation uncovered no less than ten sacks of Israeli peppers. The newspaper reports that the investigation continues.

It is illegal for countries at war to trade with each other – not that anyone in the Middle East would give a prutah for “international law”.
