The Italian town council of Sasso Marconi, in the province of Bologna, recently decided to condemn the Pizzarotti Company’s participation in the construction of a rail line between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
In its motion, the council alleged the tracks would cross “into occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank in violation of international humanitarian law.” The resolution further expressed “moral and political condemnation” and called upon the Italian company to withdraw from the project, following the example of the German railways authority.
The campaign for this motion was organized by an Italian BDS initiative called “Stop That Train.”

I think that any country that boycott Israel we shall not tour country and not buy there items that they sell
This is not a boycott Israel issue. There’s a difference between boycotting stam to this story, where they explicitly say that their problem is that ” the tracks would cross into occupied Palestinian territories of
the West Bank ‘in violation of
international humanitarian law’ “.
Like it or not, if international humanitarian dictates something then it is correct to obey. If you disagree, challenge it in court. But in the meantime, whoever does abide by an international judgement should not be accused of boycotting.
But it is ok to ride the rails all over Europe that helped transport millions of people to the gas chambers!!?? What a bunch of two faced anti Semites!! Uch. Never be surprised by what comes out of Europe.
So instead of working to make the train usable by both Israelis and “Palestinians” the Italians decided to take the high road and withdraw from the project all together. Then again the Italians aren’t known for their support of any specific country.
