A security incident took place during the night along the Gaza border, Sunday night to Monday 11 Teves 5773.

A number of images were detected approaching the Gaza border. Soldiers instructed them to halt in line with protocol and opened fire at their lower extremities when they failed to heed instructions. Sources in Gaza report two people were injured.

In another Gaza incident, there were some reports of a rocket fired from Gaza into Israel on Sunday evening. According to some reports a rocket did land in an open area in the Gaza border vicinity, without injuries. Officials in Israel report on Monday that it does not appear that a rocket was fired into Israel, but the launch was the result of renewed efforts to manufacture rockets in Gaza.
