While it cannot compare in size with the tzibur arriving in Uman at Rav Nachman’s tziyun for Rosh Hashanah, there is a growing number of mispallalim with each passing year for Shabbos Chanukah and that was the case this year. Thousands of mispallalim spent a cold snowy Shabbos Chanukah at the tziyun, Ladaat.info reports.
Ukraine Hatzalah was on hand, aware that for the Israeli visitors, they are most unaccustomed to such cold climate conditions and they had equipment on hand to treat any weather related emergencies. They treated over 30 people on shabbos, most after they slipped on the ice.
Ukraine Hatzalah commander quoted by Ladaat, Rav Hillel Cohen explains some of the victims required transport to the local hospital. Cohen added that the organization brought in an expert physician to make a transportation determination for each case on an individual basis.
