The arrest by police of the head of Asra Kadisha, HaRav Dovid Smeidal is not going away for the time being.
Notices decrying the actions of the “Zionist police” in the name of the Union of Rabbis from the USA and Canada and other organizations are being distributed. One such poster is signed by a number of prominent rabbonim shlita, including Eida Chareidis Gavaad HaRav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss Shlita, HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita, HaRav Aryeh Malkiel Kotler Shlita (Rosh Yeshiva of Lakewood’s BMG), HaRav Elya Ber Wachfogel Shlita (Rosh Yeshiva of South Fallsburg), the Pshevorsk Rebbe, and HaRav Yaakov Moshe Schecter (Breslov).

My eyesite is a bit shvach. When I enlarged the attached poster and read it, I could not find the words, “Zionist Police.” Although the article doesn’t say it outright, the article seems to give the impression that the venerable gedolim listed in the article are using a loaded expression that many would find offensive.
