Over 30 new volunteers last week joined the Bnei Brak area unit of Ichud (United) Hatzalah’s nationwide team. The nationwide EMS organization today boasts over 2,000 volunteers. The event was held in the Vishnitz Hotel in Bnei Brak, headed by rabbonim of the organization. The new members were trained by the organization’s veteran paramedic, Yehuda Atias, who stressed the importance of rapid professional response and treatment on the scene.
The avreichim received their certificates of completion for the EMT course, their Ichud vests, and communications device.
A week prior to the graduation event the avreichim merited a visit to HaGaon HaRav Nissim Karelitz Shlita, who praised their decision to join the nationwide life-saving team.
