After losing the Livni camp members of Kadima to Tzipi Livni’s new The Movement party, Kadima leader Shaul Mofaz was surprised to learn that another defector was among his staunchest loyalists, Yochanan Plesner, who spearheaded efforts to abolish the Tal Law and induct chareidim into the IDF.

Mofaz is left with the ruins of a once ruling party, and according to polls, his ailing political party will not pass the minimum threshold in the upcoming general election, and therefore vanish from the political arena.
