Among the guests at Kever Yosef on Tuesday night the eve of 29 Cheshvan 5773 was the Shomrei Emunim Rebbe Shlita, escorted by local rabbonim and public officials. The rebbe was visibly moved and he broke down in tears when reciting kaddish at the tziyun. Over 2,000 mispallalim participated in the visit organized by the Shomron Regional Council and the “שכם אחד” organization.

Also present were HaRav Deutsch from Afula and IDF Chief Rabbi Brigadier-General Rafi Peretz as well as rabbonim and roshei yeshiva from Shomron communities.

Prior to visiting the tziyun, the admor along with a number of rabbonim from the Netanya area visited Shomron communities and spoke with local officials and rabbonim.

Kever Yosef was recently refurbished once again after being set ablaze numerous times by PA (Palestinian Authority) residents in the area. New electric lines were installed along with new flooring and improved area lighting. The passage to the ezras noshim was vastly improved as well. The vaad for Kever Yosef proudly told the guests that all the construction work was carried out by Jews exclusively.
