Employees of the daily Maariv and its affiliate NRG website on Tuesday, announced they will be striking on Wednesday, marking the newspaper’s first strike in its 64-year history.
The workers feel management broke the collective agreement in the recent sale of the newspaper to Shlomo Ben-Tzvi, in which the latter will only be hiring 80 employees and not 350 as they understood to be the case.
Strikers are expected to return to work on Thursday.
