Addressing a Dead Sea forum, Deputy Prime Minister Eli Yishai explained that Shas will request the Interior Ministry following national elections and he sees himself serving in that post again.

Yishai told the deputy mayors “B’ezras Hashem I will be interior minister again in the next administration”, highlighting just how shas is “the” party when it comes to looking out for social welfare issues and representing the working class that is struggling today.
