Rabbi “F” of Rechasim has been released from jail and sent to house arrest as he remains a major subject in last week’s reported kidnapping and beating of a Jerusalem avreich.

The Rishon L’Tzion Magistrate’s Court on Monday 20 Cheshvan 5773 released the rabbi from jail and remanded him to ten days house arrest.

F’ is alleged to have contacted underworld boss Charlie Abutbul to abduct the avreich who the rabbi suspected of stealing a large sum of money from his home. Three additional suspects in the case were arrested on Sunday, 19 Cheshvan.

One theory being suggested by the rav is that a son of his who is mentally challenged left a key outside for the avreich to facilitate his plan to make off with the money, $200,000.

The avreich who was abducted and beaten denies stealing money from the rav’s home.
