An 18-month-old child sustained serious facial/head injuries on Monday when a large water bottle fell off a mineral water delivery truck near the Skverer Beis Medrash on Giora Street in Yerushalayim.
A woman passed the area pushing a baby carriage with one child inside while a second was holding on, walking alongside her. A member of the truck’s crew opened a door and one of the large bottles of water fell off, striking the carriage and the toddler.
Ichud Hatzolah responders were on the scene literally in less than a minute and began treating the young victim. An ambulance arrived and the toddler was transported to the trauma unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital with head trauma.
