A fire on Chassam Sofer Street in Betar Illit on Friday night damaged two homes. A 45-year-old woman sustained moderate injuries and 14 others were treated, all listed in light condition. They were transported to a hospital

Ichud Hatzalah (United Hatzalah) EMT Chaim Har-Zahav stated “As a result of the blaze, a number of apartments were damaged and one can say without the response of the Ichud Hatzalah EMS personnel the event could have ended tragically chas v’sholom. We broke into the homes together with firefighters and assisted in evacuating the residents as the area filled with smoke.”
