The first plane of ‘Operation Dove’s Wings’ arrived in Eretz Yisrael on Monday, carrying 240 Ethiopian immigrants on the first flight in the last wave of aliyah flights from that country.

In accordance with a cabinet decision, the remaining Ethiopians viewed as eligible to be brought to Israel on charter aliyah flights will be completed no later than March 2014. Those waiting to come to Israel are in a refugee camp in Gondar, some waiting for as long as a decade.
