Following the official announcement from HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef’s Shlita of the leadership arrangement in Shas on Wednesday night the eve of 2 Cheshvan 5773, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu phoned Eli Yishai, telling him “You have shown what leadership and achdus are. I am fond of you and stand beside you strengthening your hand, and look forward to working together in the future.”

Shas under Yishei has worked along side Bibi since Eli Y is at heart a right winger who sees no partner in peace with the Arabs of today. On the other hand, Deri is a pacifist/left winger when it comes to security and negociations with Arabs. Beware SHAS with Deri at the helm your numbers will not automatically increase. The Aida HaMizrah kehilla are nationalistic, activists and lovers of Eretz Yisroel hashelayma.
