Gerrer Rebbe Shlita: Don’t Give Birth in Ichilov Hospital

The Gerrer Rebbe Shlita has announced that wives of chassidim should not give birth in Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital for fear of the illnesses carried by the infiltrators treated at the hospital.

According to the Walla News report, the rebbe’s directive is in response to physicians at the hospital becoming infected with tuberculosis as a result of treating illegal aliens from African countries. As an alternate option, Petach Tikvah’s Beilinson Hospital was suggested.

Officials at Ichilov responded to the report, confirming the rebbe a number of months ago did indeed release such a directive but officials of the chassidus have since inspected the hospital and the order from the rebbe was rescinded.

Gur is the largest chassidus in Eretz Yisrael and has blei ayin hora thousands of births annually.

  1. Any hospital is a terrible place to be whether you’re sick or well. I know someone who went in for car accident injuries and left with pneumonia.
