Retired Lt. Gen Michael Flynn has promised “full cooperation” in the special counsel’s Russia investigation and, according to a confidant, is prepared to testify that Donald Trump directed him to make contact with the Russians, initially as a way to work together to fight ISIS in Syria, reported ABC News.
The stunning turn comes as Flynn, who is cooperating with investigators in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, pleaded guilty to one count of lying to the FBI about his back-channel negotiations with the Russian ambassador – talks that occurred before Trump took office.
A close confidant told ABC News that Flynn felt abandoned by Trump in recent weeks, and told friends about the decision to make the plea deal within the last 24 hours as he grew increasingly concerned about crippling legal costs he would face if he continued to contest the charges.

Unbelievable. More baloney. This is a story?? They still have nothing in terms of collusion which is what this investigation is all about. You want to say that trump contacted the Russians before he took office and that’s technically illegal? Big deal
There is nothing wrong with Trump contacting Putin in Russia to work helping with Syria. Russia is no threat to the U.S. unless the U.S. becomes a threat to Russia. Even Israel has communicated with Putin over Syria. Maybe you guys are not aware of the fact that the only reason Putin is helping Assad in Syria is because of the Oil Wells that give energy to his nation of Russia. He needs those Oil Well and Warm Sea Ports for the survival of his people in Russia during the cold winter months. Putin could care less about Muslims as a matter of fact he hates them. Right now Putin has missiles aimed at Turkey and Iran to protect his nation of Russia. Putin is interested in saving his nation of Russia and all he ask is that the world leave him alone. Pretty much what Israel ask for.
I’m reminded of a comment I heard in a small town Ohio grocery store in the spring of 73 when the Watergate exposes started going in full swing: “There’s going to be so much singing in Washington it’s going to sound like the opera.”
The story has been proven to be fake news. The investigative reporter has been suspended for a month without pay. This is far from his first uncovered fabrication of the news in order to further his/their liberal agenda.
