A police chase ends with officers shooting the suspect in Brooklyn.

It’s the second shooting in the last couple of weeks involving a police officer.

It is believed in this incident the officer surrounded a suspect in a stolen car, but the person fled.

Suspects allegedly ditched the stolen Saturn around midnight in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.
A large number of officers chased the suspects near the Williams Plaza Houses.

A detective confronted the suspect and opened fire after spotting a weapon.

“It sounded back to back and it didn’t stop and everybody started running,” said one witness. “It was quicker than quick,” she added.

The suspect was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.

The officer was also taken to the hospital as a precaution.

A weapon was recovered at the scene.
