President Obama may have a lot more to worry about than bombing the debate this week. Traders are starting to get particularly bullish over gasoline prices – and that is bad news for the average driver, who may also be looking to vent his spleen at the voting booth.
Reports of gas shortages along the high-demand west and east coasts may be fleeting – although deeply concerning – but they highlight a problem that’s expected to persist in the U.S.: our refineries are getting old. Given that a new refinery has not been built since 1976, commodities desks on Wall Street are bracing for more refinery outages and fires just as the nation needs to gear up for the busy winter heating season.

What you are basically saying (forget the refineries) is that this is all contrived by bullish speculators as usual.
The primary factor correlating with gas prices is the overall health of the economy, with a secondary factor being the strength of the American dollar. If we got unemployment back up to the 10% area, and got the dollar to increase significant compared to the Euro, Yen, and gold – we’ll get inexpensive gas like we hade four years ago. Obama’s policy of stimulating the economy with printed money works to increase demand for gas which raises prices, while also weakening the currency which makes it more expensive in dollars.
If you measured the price in ounces of gold, or Japanese yen, the price increases would be quite moderate.
Obama has effectively stopped exploration and drilling for oil on federal lands. What kind of crazy country doesn’t want to use its own natural resources?!?!?! All drilling is taking place on PRIVATE land.
Obama MUST be replaced!!!!
Don’t ever forget that 0bama campaigned four years ago on a policy of higher energy prices. He can’t pretend higher prices are not his fault when he promised to raise them, and lo and behold they are raised. It’s exactly the result he wanted, and he must not be allowed to disassociate himself from it.
GAS will continue rising as Hashems plan is carried out
1)build up the hatred of the muslims-i.e. Bnei Yishmael, the last ones to fight klal yisroel before mashiach comes-against klal yisroel
2)get even Israel’s best friend-the USA-to go against them, by putting it in the hands of a muslim Obama.
3)get iran (GOG) to act on its nuclear plan R”L & the rest of the world join them (including the USA) into BRING MILCHEMES gog u’magog upon klal yisroel towards bringing Mashiach.
with a few other tragic steps between these that is all in Hashems hands & can still be erased if klal yisroel does teshuva before its time comes.

We need to use our resources wisely and prudently and not risk major environmental disaster like the BP Oil spill just to enrich a few oil companies. Perhaps you need to step back and consider what “balanced” means in terms of an energy use program.
