According to a New York Post report, a terror alert was declared at JFK International Airport in New York City on motzei shabbos, coinciding with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu planned return home to Israel for Sukkos following his participation in the UN General Assembly. While there is a veil of mystery over some of the details of the event, there was a fear at one point that a Secret Service agent was missing. It does not appear that this fear materialized.
A number of people on board a small fishing boat in restricted waters near the airport was the cause for the security lock down. Quoting undisclosed sources, the report states that the boat was a half mile from the prime minister’s plane.
