An Arab taxi rammed into four IDF soldiers near Yishuv N’vei Daniel on Highway 60 in Gush Etzion shortly after 16:15 Tuesday, 16 Tishrei 5773. Two soldiers nearby the group were not hit. The taxi fled the scene.

The soldiers were transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim with one listed in moderate condition and the remainder light.

Military police are investigating all possibilities, including a terror attack.

19:00 IL: One of the injured soldiers transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center told authorities they were bringing a sukka to their base when their vehicle broke down and they were standing alongside the road waiting for assistance.

He explained that it appeared the Arab taxi driver struck them intentionally. Nevertheless, police believe it was a hit-and-run, not terror. Ichud Leumi MK Alex Miller told the media “it was clearly a terror attack”.
