Deputy Health Minister (Yahadut HaTorah) Yaakov Litzman feels the party will gain additional seats in the next general elections. Speaking with Machane HaChareidi, Litzman stated matters pertaining to elections have already been worked out in the party and in his opinion they will earn seven seats in the next Knesset, an increase of two mandates from the current Knesset.
Yahadut HaTorah (United Torah Judaism) is a combination of the litvish and chassidish parties. Degel HaTorah and Agudas Yisrael have agreed to run under a united banner towards earning additional seats in Knesset.
