Avreich Yisroel Wallis is a free man after four years imprisonment. Wallis was imprisoned for six years in 2008, but a third was taken off his sentence in response to his good behavior.

The young avreich, who was 21 when he entered prison, was found guilty of causing the death of his infant child when he shook his son after he lost his temper due to the baby’s persistent crying. The shaking resulted in inter-cranial injuries and death.

Wallis was released on Wednesday evening, meeting with family members in Betar Illit. The family and close friends took part in a seuda to mark the occasion.
