Israel’s Counterterrorism Bureau has issued an alert calling upon Israelis around the world be exhibit vigilance as terrorists are continuing efforts to strike out, especially with Rosh Hashanah and the Tishrei yomim tovim approaching. The alert explains that Iran and Hizbullah are not abandoning efforts to perpetrate attacks against Israelis, as was seen during the year. The highest level alert was issued for Somalia and Sudan, followed by Egypt.

Israelis are strongly advised to avoid visiting these countries.

The alert also addresses Israelis who provide transportation for illegal PA (Palestinian Authority) residents seeking to work in Israeli communities. These people “even if this is not their intention, directly assist terrorist efforts”.
