US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta said on Tuesday that if Iran decides to manufacture a nuclear bomb, the United States would have a bit more than a year to stop Tehran from doing so.
“It’s roughly about a year right now. A little more than a year. We think we will have the opportunity once we know that they’ve made that decision, take the action necessary to stop (Iran),” Panetta told CBS’ “This Morning” program.
The senior American official reiterated the qualitative intelligence data gathered by US intelligence experts, adding he feels that the experts are in tune to the real-time events in Iran.
Panetta’s statements come on the heels of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s announcement that the administration will not comply with requests from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to set a “red line” in place, to send a clear message to Iran that there is a line that may not be crossed. Clinton rejected that request, stating she is comfortable and America’s handling of the situation is the correct way.

So long as Panetta and Clinton feel this way, the US can go to sleep for a year. Something tells me when they awake, the topography in Iran will be DRASTICALLY different. Guess what, Lebanon and Syria may look quite different too! Hashem Yaazor!
Like I believe him. They’re just trying to stall until after the elections.
