A large crowd was on hand at the Kosel on Monday night the eve of 24 Elul 5772 to join in with rabbonim affiliated with the dati leumi tzibur in Slichos. Among the rabbonim taking part were HaRav Zalman Baruch Melamed Shlita, HaRav Dov Lior Shlita, HaRav Chaim Druckman Shlita, HaRav Yaakov Shapira Shlita, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu Shlita, the Chalban, and HaRav Yaakov Addis. They davened for an IDF success in a possible attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The rabbonim called on mispallalim to unite in tefilla and to cry to HKBH לביטול מחשבות שונאינו והצר הצורר מאיראן.

They are naive.
Bombing Iran in any serious way will make them mad at us. Remember how 9-11 made American love Arabs and Muslims.
Remember that Iran is a democracy, and democracies usually “close ranks” when a foreign attacks them.
The most likely result of even a successful attack will be to unite the Islamic world against us. We should remember that the strongest country in the Islamic world is Pakistan, which is nuclear and heretofore disinterested in Israel – we don’t want to get them interested.
