In the shadow of stepped-up terrorist activities in Sinai and a new Egyptian leadership, one viewed as increasingly sympathetic to the Muslim Brotherhood, Egyptian intelligence officials have released a warning of planned attacks against the Israeli and American Embassies in Cairo.
According to the report appearing in the al-Masry al-Youm newspaper on Tuesday, the Global Jihad is planning attacks against the diplomatic facilities in the Egyptian capital, basing the report on a copy of a letter dated Sept. 4th sent to Deputy Minister General Sami Sidhom. The letter stated that the National Security Department has informed the Interior Minister of the planned attacks. It states the terrorists involved in the bomb plots are based both in Egypt and Gaza, naming them as Nader Bassam Husim Juda, 22, from Gaza and Osama Abu Talha.
