Shas Seeking to Bailout Ailing Elad Mosdos

The big boys have been called in to assist in Elad as a growing number of talmidei torah and kindergartens are seeking badly-needed funds. Some of them are located in unsuitable buildings and they are simply out of money. The party’s general-manager, R’ Nati Lasri has sent an urgent request to party leader Deputy Prime Minister Eli Yishai, who is now involved towards finding a solution to assist those mosdos.

Elad Mayor R’ Yitzchak Eden visited the mosdos in his city, escorting Lasri around while explaining the situation. The mayor explained there is a critical shortage of classrooms, desks, chairs, equipment, seeking to highlight the severity of the situation.

Lasri is critical of the city’s leaders, calling upon them to get creative and to begin exploring originative and unique solutions rather than just reporting on the dire situation. Lasri added Shas officials have agreed to place the mosdos of Elad atop the priority list, hoping to bring the badly-needed relief.

  1. What entitles these Mosdos in Elad to move to the “top of the list”? There are critical needs for schools and public facilities throughout EY. The deficit is already out of control and Israeli entrepreneurs and billionaires are leaving EY for more favorable tax havens. Simply put, these mosdos should stop trying to get more public funds and find ways to reduce their costs and raise money within their own communities.
