The directorate of the daily Maariv newspaper announced the printed daily edition is coming to an end. The newspaper will be available on the internet in addition to the printed edition for shabbos and yomim tovim.
Not everyone in Maariv is confident that the move will be sufficient to cut the newspaper’s losses, but it appears the decision was made. No final date issue is being reported at present.

Gooooooood riddddance!!!
May Haaretz and YNet go next.
its a shame the israeli government bailed them out together with haaretz and channel 10
the fact is theyre losing money and subscribers and thats a good thing
but like america bailing out its banking system the government of israel bails out its “banking institution” its media
theyre should be media for all who can compete in the marketplace!
