In what may be a most unique reality, rabbonim of the Badatz Eida Chareidis turned to the staunchly Zionist Tzohar Rabbonim for assistance in determining the Jewishness of a person from the former Soviet Union.
A talmid of a yeshiva turned to the Eida Chareidis beis din to register ahead of his marriage. The chosson is from Russian descent, prompting the Eida to turn to the שורשים organization for assistance in confirming his Jewishness.
According to the Ladaat.net report, שורשים was established by Tzohar rabbonim, signaling the Eida is satisfied to accept the determination of these rabbonim for kedushin.
When asked to confirm the details of the story, Eida officials called it “an outrage”, explaining the chosson was involved in a monetary beis din matter in the past and at that time his yichus was confirmed by the rabbonim, totally denying any reliance on Tzohar rabbonim. The officials add that at that time, Av Beis Din HaGaon Rav Avrohom Dov Levin Shlita was involved in confirming the yichus of the young man and the confirmation of such a gaon is good enough for any beis din.

Quit the hogwash.
Tzohar does a good job in checking yichus and they are a group of Torah observant rabbis, when will the ‘stain’ of lovers of zion finally end?
