While skies are partly cloudy in most areas of Israel on Thursday, rainfall was reported in parts of the Galil. There were “puddles” reported in Nahariya, along with traffic snarls due to the unseasonable rainfall.
The first rains following months of dry weather result in an oily film on the road, a very dangerous film. In the Western Galil area 20 people were taken to Nahariya Hospital as a result of vehicular accidents. All of them are reported in light condition. Four were admitted for continued treatment.
A drizzle is predicted for the center of the country later in the day.
