IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott has given Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu the names of three brigadier-generals to choose from to appoint his new military secretary. Mr. Netanyahu has not made a selection today, and according to a Haaretz report, this is because he does not wish to select any of the three for the high-ranking position, but wishes to tap Ofir Winter for the post.
Some feel Mr. Netanyahu is doing so to gain support among right-wing voters, those who might otherwise vote for Bayit Yehudi, adding having Winter at his wide in photo-ops, will also boost his appeal in the nationalist camp religious camp.
Winter, a right-wing religious officer, has had a difficult climb up the ladder of command as he faced opposition on numerous occasions for speaking with his troops about HKBH and fighting L’Shem Shomayim’, leading to an outcry and resulting in being passed over for promotion.
In this video, Colonel Winter is addressing an audience and explaining when he has to send his troops to battle, he turns to HKBH for assistance, that they all come back safe and healthy.

A great Jew and a great professional soldier.
I just wonder how many of those young protesters secretly wish they could be like him in that:
He learns
Is frum
He makes a living
Contributes to the safety of all of us
Is in good physical shape
On the other hand maybe they don’t admire him because:
He works hard and has little free time
He endangers his life for others
He thinks for himself
