A Vueling aircraft which is believed to have been hijacked, has landed at Schipol airport in Amsterdam after a flight from Malaga.

The Dutch Defense Ministry confirmed that it had scrambled two F-16 fighters to intercept the plane over Dutch airspace.

The plane has been surrounded by security forces. The passengers are still on board.

Sky News quotes Reuters who are saying that the Dutch military has confirmed the hijacking of an aircraft at an Amsterdam airport.
