Beis Din Zichron Meir headed by HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Halevy Wosner Shlita issued a temporary order preventing the opening of a Chadera Beis Yaakov today, 9 Elul 5772, the start of the school’s new year.
The Netiv Ohr Yeshiva, which is occupying the building, turned to the beis din in the hope of preventing the Beis Yaakov from entering until another session of the beis din is held. That session is expected to take place today. Netiv Ohr directors insist the building is theirs.
It is relevant to point out that Netiv Ohr is involved in a dispute with Chadera City Hall regarding a debt and other issues, and the city has expropriated a portion of the building, which municipally officials explain was given over to the Beis Yaakov which is under the direction of HaRav Eliyahu Schechter.
City officials explain that Netiv Ohr directors are not “cooperating” with the city’s education officials and therefore, the city no longer recognizes the school.
