In Israel the media continues to predict an attack ahead of the US presidential elections. America and the EU continue to warn against such a move and in Iran, there are reports of stepped up activities towards achieving nuclear independence and continued defiance of the international community.

The Non-Aligned Summit has opened in Tehran amid mounting international criticism and monetary sanctions. Western officials are playing down the significance of the summit, but the blatant Iranian defiance remains clear to all wishing to see. With 80 countries taking part in the summit, it represents a slap in the face to the White House and US Department of State, clearly showing the failures regarding attempts to isolate Iran.
