The family of 52-year-old avreich Eliyahu Effergan wants to know why police are dragging their feet and why no one has information as to his whereabouts following his disappearance in August 2010.
The Yerushalayim avreich is single. Following his disappearance his family turned to police. Family members explain they have not learned of any progress in the case and since his disappearance, his bank account has been inactive. The family has also provided police with a DNA sample, hoping it might match one of the anonymous bodies found, but this too has failed to date.
According to a report in Yom L’Yom, the family feels police have not made a satisfactory effort to locate Eliyahu.

If he’s an avreich, I would expect him to not be mentally deranged. If he’s pnly 52, I would not expect him to be senile. Therefore, I must conclude thta it’s some adult that decided to run away.
What’s the problem, and why is it the police’s responsibility to find him?
